The First Amendment only for some Part III

During the union protests, Fox News reporters have been jostled, their reports have been shouted down with demonstrators shouting "Fox lies",  and their cameras covered up.  A Fox reporter noted that there are many what appear to be professionally created signs saying "Fox Lies" .   These are state employees who are seeking to muzzle a news organization.  To a lover of the First Amendment, this should be quite disturbing.  I listen to the BBC from 5:00 to 6:00 a.m.;  I listen to NPR from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m.; then I listen to Fox on Sirius on my car radio on the commute to work.  Fox has its faults, but in general, it is far more balanced than either the BBC or NPR.  I can almost always predict BBC's or NPR's story lines, no matter what the story.  And of course Fox is generally anti-government, unlike BBC or NPR.  So if the Left's campaign against Fox News, and its support of government subsidized news organizations like NPR reveals an anti-democratic bent.   The Left needs to turn back to its liberal roots.

  1. And said reporter was interviewed by F&B Bill O' Reilly as Fox ran tape of said jostling... in a city with palm trees - something Madison is a little short on. So like, no wonder! And as for Fox story-lines not being predictable - puhleeze
